Mudras and Health: Yogic Healing with Mudras Physical ailments are a result of the disturbance in the equilibrium of the five elemental forces of the body. Appropriate 'mudras' can help restore proper balance. Udan Mudra Join the tips of forefinger, middle and ring finger with the tip of thumb, while the little finger is separate. This forms the Udan Mudra. Benefits - Develops the flow of energy and Chetna in all the parts of body. This is one of the main functions of this Mudra. - Cures many kinds of problems of the chest and navel area. - A person who thinks he is weak, by practice of this Mudra can generate new vitality in his body. - Practice of this mudra helps in developing the natural glow of the skin; and also overcomes various other skin problems. - If the power of speech has been lost or has become defective, this mudra will help a lot. Viyan Mudra Join the tips of the forefinger and middle finger with the tip of the thumb, while keeping the little and ring finger separate. This forms the Viyan Mudra.
