Meditation and Visualisation |  | Meditation and Visualisation: Visualisation - Visualising exercise |  | | The best form of visualisation is when you try and affirm your oneness with the Divine Spirit. Sit, relaxed and comfortable, in a chair with your spine straight, or on a mattress in the meditative/cross-legged posture. Focus your gaze on the area of the third eye in between your eyebrows. This in yogic terms is the seat of concentration and will power. Fill your heart and your mind with the joy of God or any other happy feeling that you are able to relate with. Know yourself to be a being of light. Forget the heaviness of the body. See yourself surrounded by this ball of light. It is immersing you in its warmth and permeates you into the space around. Meditation and Visualisation: Visualisation - Visualising exercise Visualising exercise -Visualisation The best form of visualisation is when you try and affirm your oneness with the Divine Spirit. Sit, relaxed and comfortable, in a chair with your spine straight, or on a mattress in the meditative/cross-legged posture. Focus your gaze on the area of the third eye in between your eyebrows. This in yogic terms is the seat of concentration and will power. Fill your heart and your mind with the joy of God or any other happy feeling that you are able to relate with. Know yourself to be a being of light. Forget the heaviness of the body. See yourself surrounded by this ball of light. It is immersing you in its warmth and permeates you into the space around. This light is the presence and consciousness of God. Expand this sphere of light to include your room, then slowly, the entire house and the area that you live in. Keep feeling the joy within. With the love of God enshrining you, now expand the light to include the entire city, the country, the world, and the entire planet earth. Gradually, expand it to bathe the entire galaxy, the planetary and stellar systems. Realise deep within your being that this expanded light is actually you see the various planets and our own earth floating like little bubbles in your vast sphere. Stay with the feeling of joy and peace, with the realisation of omnipresence and omnipotence. Dwell on it in whatever way you want. The longer you stay in this state, the deeper and more far-reaching will be the benefits that accrue. Now open your eyes, and look at your body. See how little it is. Shut the eyes again, and know that you are not the body, but the vast sphere of light. Now gradually, slowly, bring this sphere of light back to this galaxy, to this solar system, this planet, this country, to your room, and into the center of the sphere of light deep within your being at the point of the heart. Stay still for a few moments/minutes and mentally chant or speak with the Divine in the language of your heart. Such a practice in visualisation will help awaken your divine memory cells and open you up to the abundant flow of the universe and its plentiful offerings. In reality, everything in creation is energy. As you go deeper in concentration and thereon onto meditation, or for that matter, even as you penetrate the levels of the subconscious, you are in tune with energy at a more subtle level. In those realms, a clearly defined visual seen in its ultimate manifestation (for example, if you want to visualise yourself healthy, in your mind's eye you just see yourself as health personified and do not worry about the processes of achieving that health) and consistently empowered with energy, will and faith, will finally actually cause that manifestation to take place in your real life. Always, preferably visualise with your closed eyelids focused on the third eye area, and look inward, not outwards . Believe deep inside, in what you are doing and the results will flow faster. If you do not succeed at first, do not lose heart. Try with manifesting simple realities, and then as your confidence grows, move on to larger manifestations. Both before and after a visualisation session, make it a habit to pray to the Divine for His guiding presence and help. . .
