Welcome to the inaugural issue of The 3rd Night News. For the last few weeks I have been wanting to write an article to all of you about the 3rd Night. It was today, December 20th 2003, that the ideas that had been swirling in my mind about the 3rd Night came into clear enough focus for me to actually write this article.

According to everything that I have studied up to this moment in my life, including all of the information provided by the Mayan calendar, shows that the 3rd Night of the Galactic Cycle will be the turning point of human consciousness. This, my friends, will be for all of the marbles. The 3rd Night of the Galactic cycle is the last showdown between Physical/Power and Spiritual Consciousness.

This period, from December 10, 2003 through December 4, 2004 will be the greatest test that humanity has ever faced. It is at this time that the Law of Karma goes extinct. That is to say that all Karmic debts shall be paid in full during this Galactic cycle. Doesn't this look like the reason a whole lot of people are here on Earth at this time?

For those of you who are just joining this informational group I will provide a little background.

Over 10 years ago Dr. Carl J. Calleman, began studying the Mayan calendar with empirical scientific techniques which he had learned and practiced in his 30-year career as a microbiologist. Essentially what he discovered was a schedule of the evolution of consciousness over the last 16.4 billion years. Details of this discovery can be found in his books: The Mayan Calendar and his new book coming out in May of 2004 titled, The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness or on our web page at mayanmajix.com. The information he discovered shows a repeating pattern of consciousness that produces physical effects in the evolution of physicality, life forms and events in history.

The Mayan calendar can now be shown to be not an instrument for tracking the procession of time as we consider it, but as a meter and the measure of the evolution of consciousness.

Calleman's research of the Mayan civilization and the writings were carved in stone throughout Meso America disclose that the Mayan calendar is built of nine different levels. Each of these nine levels is the running of a process of the development of a type of consciousness through 13 equally divided stages or intentions on the part of consciousness. The Maya described the 13 sections as seven periods of day or experiences of new fresh consciousness, and six periods of dark or application of what has now become part of consciousness.

Here is a quick run through of the previous cycles and the consciousness that each level produced:

Cellular cycle - beginning 16.4 billion years ago, developed the consciousness of Action/Reaction.

Mammalian cycle - beginning 820 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Stimulus/Response.

Familial cycle - beginning 41 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Stimulus/Individual Response.

Tribal cycle - beginning 2 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Similarities/Differences.

Cultural cycle - beginning 102,000 years ago, developed the consciousness of Reasons.

National cycle - beginning in the year 3115 B.C., developed the consciousness of Law.

Planetary cycle - beginning in the year 1755 A.D., developed the consciousness of Power.

Galactic cycle - beginning January 5, 1999, developing the consciousness of Ethics.

Universal cycle - beginning February 10, 2011, will be developing the unlimited ability of Conscious Co-Creation.

Looking at the timing and the product of each of the nine cycles listed above, we can see an orderly progression of the development of consciousness and our abilities to interact with the universe.

During the First cycle, all of the physical laws, chemical compounds, star fields, then solar systems and planets were developed.

In the Second cycle, individual cells which were the product of the Cellular cycle started developing stimulus/response and the survival mechanism. Stimulus/response differs from action/reaction in the amount of consciousness present.

The Third cycle was the recognition of individual consciousness and the establishment of the family relationship (recognition of individuals) rather than a herd, school or flock mentality.

In the Fourth cycle, consciousness developed the tool, which we call "The Mind" to detect the similarities and differences in our experience.

During the Fifth cycle, the leading edge of consciousness was developing reasons for any and every thing. These "Shared Reasons," are the basis of all culture.

In the Sixth cycle, the concept of law or right and wrong developed.

In the Seventh cycle, which is from 1755 A.D. to present, we have been gathering power derived from natural laws.

Each time that this pattern has repeated it has done so 20 times faster than the previous cycle.

This quite handily explains why time seems to be speeding up. Time is not speeding up. It is creation itself that is speeding up with more and more happening in less and less time.

We now know exactly where we are in this repeating pattern. This information makes it possible to put forth educated guesses as to the content of our future. This is similar to using a map when you are traveling. In this case, we now have a roadmap of time, consciousness and events. Our newsletter, The 3rd Night News, is intended to present insights as to what the Mayan calendar predicts our consciousness will be experiencing.

As of January 5, 1999 we started the Galactic cycle which is the 8th of 9 levels of consciousness described by the Mayan calendar. Each of the stages or days and nights of this cycle last for 360 days each. We are now, as of December 10, 2003, in the 360-day section called the 3rd Night. This section will end on December 4, 2004. On December 5, 2004, we will begin what is called the 4th day of this Galactic cycle.

In the rest of this article, I will be discussing what the Mayan calendar indicates our experience will be during the 3rd Night.

It is now, during the 8th Level - Galactic cycle, that the consciousness of ethics has come forward and can be seen to be further organizing the powers that now exist to ensure the continued survival and evolution of the human race and our playground Mother Earth. So here we are with Ethics overriding Power in this 8th - Galactic consciousness cycle.

What we see around us in the world and the society in which we live, is the exposure of lie after layer of Powerful lie built on top of layers of lies.

Uncovering a lie enables the TRUTH. While this can be very disorienting or disquieting it is very much an exercise of consciousness and should be recognized as such. As this process continues we will come to fully realize that each of us individually is the basis of truth. You are the truth (you the spiritual being) and whatever you have experienced are only reflections.

About two months ago, I received an insight concerning the timing of the Galactic cycle's - 7 Days and 6 Nights. It came to me that since each of these days and nights consisted of 360 days and since a clock face is also a 360 degree measuring device, that the two could be used together to show the processions of the Galactic cycle as "hours." 1 Day is 24 hours, I simply divided 360 by 24, which equals 15. That means that every 15 days that happened on the Gregorian calendar, are a one "hour" tick on the face of an a.m./p.m. 24-hour clock of the Galactic cycle's 3rd Night. Now what we can do is look back at the previous 3rd Night and see what took place at each "hour" to get a good read on what we might experience during this 3rd Night.

Each of the "hours" during the previous Planetary Cycle, running from 1755, were 300 days long each, that is they were 20 times longer than the current 15 day hours.

Below is a running chart of the "hours" of both the Planetary and Galactic cycle's 3rd Night's.

As I have described in my presentations, there is a cascade of events of creation. This cascade begins with consciousness, a consciousness as huge as you can imagine i.e., God or some other wholeness, from which springs light and from light, all physical effects are created. It is then up to us as consciousness located in the physical universe to reflect or consider the physical effects in our minds.

With this understanding , I do not think that it is in anyway a coincidence that the movies which are playing or are soon to be playing in theaters across the world have as their subject matter and storyline, events that have happened during the 3rd Night of the Planetary cycle. We have all had a chance to view movies recently concerning the Civil War. One that is playing in theaters right now and is highly suggested is, "Cold Mountain". If you are curious as to what kind of changes in consciousness and society occur during the 3rd Night, this movie is an excellent example.

During the 3rd Night, societies consciousness is divided, emotions run high and drastic change is a certainty.

Another movie coming soon in March is the story of The Fall of Troy. Troy fell in 1119 B.C.; this was near the beginning of the 3rd Night of the National cycle that began 1144 B.C. Another example of consciousness inserting itself into our lives is the recent Tom Cruise movie, The Last Samurai. This movie takes place at the very end of the Planetary cycle's - 3rd Night in Japan. It was at the very beginning of the 3rd Night in 1854 when Commodore Perry landed in Japan and forced Japan to open their country to trade and commerce with the world. (See Notes of the 3rd Night).

What appears to be happening is that consciousness is bringing in glimpses of our future during the 3rd Night. This can be seen in a new movie titled, The Day After Tomorrow." In this movie we see the depiction of wicked weather and other natural disasters breaking our cities, economies and societies to little pieces. Just the fact that a large proportion of humanity will pay, in other words vote with their dollars, to be entertained by the threat of destruction indicates that these movies are paralleling humanity's current consciousness. This is NO mistake.

Do you know which movies were the highest attended this summer and late fall 2003? They were the hacker/slasher, killing, screaming, fearful movies. What sporting event is the most watched around the world? The World Wide Wrestling Federation, W.W.W. F. More pain, more injury and a showy display of sex that you cannot have. People vote with their dollars, so what is most of civilization's consciousness riveted to?

Remember consciousness precedes light and then becomes a physical event.

If any of this information is making you feel uncomfortable...Good! It's best to be aware so as to prepare yourself and those you know and love for the rapid changes we are about to go through. If this information comes through somehow familiar and reassuring then congratulations! You are much more likely to be open to these changes, to welcome them, and to take your place in the march of the evolution of consciousness.

You see, at the same time that events seem terrible, it's very important to keep in mind that more good is happening in every moment than bad.

This has been true for the last 16.4 billion years or we would have all blown up long ago. As a part of our survival training and our earlier stages of evolution, our mind is attracted first to threats against our survival. Things that are safe, natural and normal come to be taken for granted. Objects, persons, situations or events, which are abnormal standout in our awareness.

There is little wonder at the marvelous ratings that terror and fearful depictions generate. This of course includes all of your favorite news programs or media sources covering events. What we are shown, are all of the threats from the environment or from each other. Most of the good going on behind the scenes or within each of us individually is not put on display, but this is where most of the change is actually occurring. As you can see in the notes of the 3rd Nights, click here, there have always been lots of gains for consciousness during the 3rd Nights. We should expect no less during our current Galactic cycle - 3rd Night.

At the most basic level humanity is waking up to its existence as a slave race.

This reoccurring theme of the 3rd Night has gone through its own evolution of course and it is here again to instigate a final reckoning.

What would total freedom look like to you? Can you envision having no overlord/boss to answer to? Can you envision having no bill or purported debts that mandate your life? Once a person has given up the idea that a "good person" is a "good citizen" with "good credit," all sorts of possibilities of freedom sprout into awareness. A 100 million or so of America's "Good" citizens are going to find that their "good credit" has been stolen or has turned "bad" due to late or lacking payments. Looked at in the right way this could be seen as a wide open opportunity to cast off the chain's that our current government and economic system have bound people to.

There are some of us who have resisted at every turn the invitation to join the economics game corporations play. With no regular employment, no healthcare, no insurance, no grants or other government crutches, no credit, no savings and only our wit or imagination to bring in what funds needs be, we are all still here and doing relatively fine. This has been a great training and proving ground for the coming days ahead. My suggestion is to go find a poor person, an immigrant, someone who has had bad or no credit for the last few years and make that person your counselor and trainer for how to survive the coming months. There are lots to choose from, take your pick.

If you do have some ready Ca$h or what are starting to look like stupid stock investments, what do you do with your money? Answer? Purchase as much silver as you can in bar and coin and possibly even some gold bullion, 24 kt only please.

Very soon the paper in your pocket or the electrons on your credit card will be worth just what they are, paper and imagination. This will be just as in the movie "Cold Mountain" or as in many economic collapses throughout history, all of which have occurred during the various Nights of the consciousness cycles. Take a clue.

Imagine if you will, the corporate economic games played on a worldwide, country, city, town and village scale, being like a giant golf course with various clubhouses. All very elitist you understand. And this golf course, un-announced to most of the various members has been laid with hundreds of thousands of anti-personal mines. Those millions who are playing the game have no clue of their peril, while those who own the game and the golf course consider themselves safe within the largest most elite clubhouses on the course. This 3rd Night - of the Galactic cycle is when the landmines are set to go off.

I personally am very happy not to be lining up for a fairway shot on the sixth hole at this time. So all of you who could not even be caddies at this golf course have some reason to celebrate.

There is much to look forward to during the next 350 some odd days. Yes! The freedom of yourself from political/economic slavery and the spiritual limitations imposed by religions, the opportunity to connect more personally with people around you and to find the true value in friendships, relationships and the purpose of your own life, all with your very survival hanging in the balance. Now that is a life!
