Cell - Prison and Police Use
A cell is the term used to describe the small (usually temporary) residential accommodation within prisons and police stations. Cells may be single, or used to house two or more detainees. They generally contain a bed, some storage facilities and lavatory facility. The cell is characterised by its security - there is usually no (or a small) window, and the door is high security with an observation hatch.
