In physics, the CHSH Bell test is an application of Bell's theorem, intended to distinguish between quantum mechanics (QM) and local hidden variable theories. It is named after John Clauser, Michael Horne, Abner Shimony and Richard Holt, who described it in a much-cited paper published in 1969 (Clauser, 1969).
