Brick Gothic
Brick Gothic is a reduced style of Gothic architecture in Northern Europe, especially in the regions around the Baltic Sea without natural rock resources. The buildings are built more or less using only bricks. The resultant style is called Backsteingotik in Germany and Poland. The most famous example in Denmark is the large Roskilde Cathedral.

Scania in southern Sweden was part of Denmark until 1658, which is where we find brick Gothic churches in current day Sweden. There is the early 13th century Saint Petri Church in Malmö, the Saint Mary Church in Helsingborg and a Saint Mary Church in Ystad.
