The Goa'uld Telchak based the Sarcophagus technology on the Ancient's Healing Device. Originally, the device was so powerful that it was destructive. Telchak modified it (by turning down the power) until he developed the Sarcophagus. Anubis went to war with Telchak over the device. Although he won, the device was never found
Once Anubis ascended, thereby gaining access to all the knowledge of the Ancients, he used the Ancient's Healing Device to bring life to his Kull Warriors. Later on, Samantha Carter and Jacob Carter used the device to develop a weapon which blocked the Ancient's Healing Device's effect on the Kull Warriors, thus killing them. This technology later became known as the Kull disruptor.
