is by many separate sources of wisdom seen as being a portal into what
some people call the Golden Age. 2012 marks, according to the The Mayan
Calendar, the ending of Time as we know it and as something old die
something new will be born. The Mayan perspective of 2012 and the
current times we live in is very similar to the view of Kalki and the
Golden Age Foundation who is also co-organising the Oneness Festival.
The concept of a coming Golden Age is widely recognised among many spiritual authors, spiritual traditions and teachers.

The Mayan Calendar - Welcome to evolution 2012
To make it clear; The sun created all life here on Earth .. we are being affected by the solar flares of the Sun .. it's peak on 2012, just like in 1940 when it was at max peak (1939 WW2).
The Maya also predicted that in 1996 a inter-dimensional network would be created and that everyone would be able to see and communicate with eachother from thousands of km away; aka "the Internet".
The rise of Youtube and the immensly popular internet is a tool which enables us to grow our consciousness to higher, more able states.
The change that is happening in one year NOW equals 1 billion years in the past, beginning of cells etc.

Kalki Bhagavan the founder of Golden Age Foundation, is considered to be the Avatar capable of giving enlightenment to mankind. This is an extract from a Darshan with Kalki Bhagavan and Amma held at Nemam (outside Chennai in South East India) 2nd of January 2004. According to Kalki, the Golden Age will start in June 2004 and will be initated by the occuring Venus Transit.
Why did the ancient Mayan or pre-Maya choose December 21st, 2012 A.D., as the end of their Long Count calendar? This article will cover some recent research. Scholars have known for decades that the 13-baktun cycle of the Mayan "Long Count" system of timekeeping was set to end precisely on a winter solstice, and that this system was put in place some 2300 years ago. This amazing fact - that ancient Mesoameri- can skywatchers were able to pinpoint a winter solstice far off into the future - has not been dealt with by Mayanists. And why did they choose the year 2012? One immediately gets the impression that there is a very strange mystery to be confronted here. I will be building upon a clue to this mystery reported by epigrapher Linda Schele in Maya Cosmos (1994). This article is the natural culmination of the research relating to the Mayan Long Count and the precession of the equinoxes that I explored in my recent book Tzolkin: Visionary Perspectives and Calendar Studies (Borderlands Science and Research Foundation, 1994).
Will we destroy ourselves in ecological catastrophe, human misery, and war? Over the decades much discussion has focussed on finding the exact correlation between the Mayan Long Count and the Gregorian calendar. Most researchers in the field have now come to agree that the so-called GMT correlation, placing the beginning of the Long Count 4 Ahau 8 Cumku on the Julian day 584 283, August 11, 3114 BC, is correct. This means by consequence that it will end on December 21, 2012 and most, such as Jose Arguelles, John Jenkins and Terence McKenna, who have taken an interest in the calendar of the Maya, have endorsed this date as the end of the current cycle.
