The Sixty Special Fleetwood returned after the war in 1946. This time, it was similar to the C-body Series 62, though with a 2 in stretch to the cabin and doors. 1946: Encyclopedia II - Cadillac Series 61 - 1946

After the War, the Series 61 returned on a 126 in wheelbase. The engine remained the same 346 in³ L-head V8 as before. The car was restyled in 1948, the first real postwar Cadillac, with tailfins like the Lockheed P-38. The formerly-larger Series 62 moved to the Series 61's platform, making them very similar apart from this models less-opulent interior and reduced chrome trim. The new Cadillac OHV V8 was the big news for 1949, with minor trim differences otherwise. This 331 in³ ...

The Series 75 returned after the war as Cadillac's largest model. It retained most of its pre-war styling and rode on the long 136 in wheelbase. 1946: Encyclopedia II - The Big Sleep 1946 film - Summary

The Big Sleep features one of the most convoluted plots in cinema history. The narrative is even harder to follow given that the film leaves several elements of the story undeveloped. The oldest daughter, Vivian, suspects that her father is more concerned with finding out what happened to his employee Shawn Regan, wh ...
