1922: Alternative Health Dictionary on Aikido

aikido: Spiritual discipline and self-defense method that uses grappling, throws, and nonresistance to debilitate opponents. The name aikido combines three Japanese words: ai (union or harmony), ki (breath, spirit or life force), and do (way). Proponents translate aikido as the way of unifying ki or the way of harmony with the spirit of the universe (or universal energy). Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), a Japanese farmer and master martial artist, founded aikido sometime between 1922 and 1931, after a divine revelation. Ueshiba claimed supernatural power. (His surname is also spelled Oyeshiba and Uyeshiba.) Practitioners may be called aikidoists.

1922: Dragons throughout the ages - Dragons importance in Astrology.

Chinese astrologers refer to the Moon's Nodes as the Dragon's Head and Tail and give it tremendous attention as to the placement in the natal chart. Sadly, practical modern astrologers tend to ignore its very existence and in the process, lose a wealth of valuable information. To my knowledge, the Dragon, in itself, holds as much, if not more, facts and power than the entire complexity of a whole astrological chart! This article give you the knowledge to understand the Dragon in your personal horoscope.

1922: Why Jagrat is a Dream?

The mind creates the dream-world out of the experience and Samskaras of the waking consciousness.

Dream is a reproduction of the experiences of the physical consciousness with some modifications. The mind weaves out the dream creatures out of the material supplied from waking consciousness. In dream the subject and object are one. The perceiver and the perceived are one in this state. The Abhimani of Svapna Avastha is Taijasa. Taijasa is a Vyasthi Abhimani. The Samasthi Abhimani is Hiranyagarbha, the first-born.

A spiritual view on dreams and the meaning of dreams by Sri Swami Sivananda, an authority in the vedic sciences and traditions.
